Haroldic Law: Published and Unpublished

The aspect of Haroldry reserved for erudite scholars, researchers, and bookworms is known as Book Haroldry. It consists of the Published Haroldic Law, being the Rules for the Submission of Unsuitable Badgers and the Rules of Complication, and the Unpublished Haroldic Law, being the experience and caprice of the Community College of Harolds. When a conflict arises between Published Law and Unpublished Law, the Plaintiff Test is used to arbitrate. That is, that interpretation of Haroldic Law which serves to best hinder the wishes and desires of the submittor takes precedence. It is thus in every submittor’s interest to become intimately familiar with all aspects of Published and Unpublished Haroldic Law.

Published Heraldic Law is available to borrow from your local Harold. You may borrow it in his basement as long as you don’t turn on the lights, for the pigments will fade under the glare.

Unpublished Haroldic law is, of course, unpublished. The best way to get unpublished law out of a Harold is to stick your finger down his throat.
