The Rights of a Manager

  1. I have the right to absolute honesty from the employee.
  2. I have the right to as much clear communication as the employee can give.
  3. I have the right to be told All of the employee's needs and desires. I have the right to be told the employee's secret dreams.
  4. I have the right to be wrong, as long as it doesn't compromise the employee's safety. (That's how we learn to get better)
  5. I have the right to safety as much as any employee does. This includes, but is not limited to safe words.
  6. I have the right to experiment with ideas in a review meeting.
  7. I have the right to be silly.
  8. I have the right to love the employee for who they are, not for who they wish to be for the Manager.
  9. I have the right to use my safewords at any point, should I feel them necessary.
  10. I have the right to just as much respect as the employee.
  11. I have the right to have feelings just as much as a employee.
  12. I have the right to say no to anything that makes me feel emotionally or pysically uncofortable in doing without any guilt for saying no.
  13. Most of all I have the right to be myself and not what others expect me to be.
